Introduction

For primary learners (Years 1-6), the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is taught and provides a smooth transition from the early years to primary school. This effective syllabus is based on developing personal, subject and international goals through an inquiry-based and thematic approach. Teachers are very hands-on in identifying academic and development goals with parents and students while ensuring that a holistic education is received. The primary school programme also references the UK National Curriculum ensuring a broad, balanced, relevant and rigorous scholastic programme is in place.

In operation since 2008, Nexus International School Malaysia (NISM) is a member of the established Taylor's Education Group, comprising several successful international schools following various curriculums in Malaysia and Singapore. The school is located in Putrajaya amidst lush greenery and a secure environment, and offers flexible (termly, weekly, daily) boarding facilities. With a current enrolment of 650 students from over 30 countries, NISM has implemented The Nexus Way – a philosophy encompassing the core pillars of Inclusion, Innovation, Mindsets and Relationships. This serves as a guide for the student body and teaching staff to achieve the Nexus vision of cultivating future global citizens and leaders. The school is an accredited Apple Distinguished School, a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), a Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) centre and an accredited International Primary Curriculum (IPC) school.
