Introduction

The children’s house was the first preschool in Malaysia to adopt the Montessori method, establishing its first schoolhouse in 1986 and having since expanded to many branches all over Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. With over 30 years of proven success stories, The children’s house is a recognised and respected name that cultivates confident individuals who are positive and lifelong learners.

The Montessori curriculum is an internationally acknowledged early childhood education programme that practices a nurturing, holistic learning method that meets the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child. Children are encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace through an active learning style. Activities are hands-on with the use of sensorial materials, while language and number programmes are incorporated into lessons. Cultural and outdoor activities that increase a love for humanity and nature and an understanding of the world are also very much a part of school programmes.

The children’s house offers various programmes such as the Montessori Playgroup (2 months to 2.5 years) and Montessori Junior (2.6 to 6 years), as well as award-winning infant care programmes (2 months and above) at TCH Aman Walk, TCH Ara Damansara and TCH Bruas. The age-specific curriculums are designed to prepare the children for the next level, and a low teacher-to-student ratio ensures each child gets sufficient attention and care to help them along their academic journey and develop into global citizens.
