The Australian International School Malaysia is a highly respected school and has been part of the Malaysian education landscape for 20 years. With a reputation for innovation and collaboration, AISM will soon be offering boarding termly and weekly boarding options.
The school’s off-campus boarding facility is located in Putrajaya with students safely commuting to school. Commencing January 2021, the Boarding House is a home away from home for AISM learners aged 12 to 18. Safety has always been paramount at AISM and this is a cornerstone of their off-campus boarding house to ensure a safe and secure campus for all our boarders.
Each floor of the Boarding House is home to a resident House Parent who oversees the pastoral and social welfare of the boarders. With care and respect an integral part of the School’s philosophy, boarding facilities has been designed to create a caring environment. Students are taught to be self-reliant and encouraged to develop with confidence. By living with students from all over the world, empathy and intercultural understanding are just two of the advantages to be gained.
AISM strongly believes that a complete education must include creative, physical, and moral development and the Boarding House serves as a platform for personal growth and discovery. Each day is filled with activities to naturally develop life skills such as independence, responsibility, teamwork, social and problem-solving skills.
Boarders will form enduring friendships with like-minded individuals in a safe and caring environment. A variety of facilities are available - on-site laundry services, recreation area, internet access and 24-hour security system. There will also be many fun activities organised and these have been carefully planned to offer a broader worldview while enhancing learning experiences outside the classroom. These include trips to museums and theme parks as well as participating in good causes and visiting charitable organisations.
With state-of-the-art facilities, an international community and exceptional learning opportunities, AISM aims to provide students with the skills and tools necessary for their future success. The academic year begins in January 2021 with classes from Early Years to Year 12, and the renowned New South Wales HSC qualifications taken at the end of secondary school.
